How we measured. One vote per creator: the median of each creator’s own prices for that kind of product, then the median across creators, in the creator’s own selling currency, never converted.

Left out: free, hidden, draft and payment-plan offers; paid messages; prices not in the creator’s selling currency; creators whose sales were split evenly between currencies; creators with no sale in the past year; any group under 20 creators.

Full methodology

A median is not a target

Half of these creators charge more. Price the promise you can keep: how often you show up, how much personal feedback, how long access lasts. Then compare with offers like yours in the same currency and billing interval.

Compare like with like

Compare the same currency, the same billing interval and the same kind of payment: one payment or a recurring one. The pound and dollar figures describe different creators, not one price converted. A course sold once is not comparable with a monthly membership.

Test before you reprice

Try a new price with new buyers first. Keep existing members’ terms clear: what they pay, for how long and what they get. A typical price shows what other creators charge, not what your audience will pay.

Your assumptions, not research findings

Monthly contribution scenario

Starting values are illustrative arithmetic examples. Enter your own assumptions in a single currency.

Calculation: Price × members − monthly costs.

Before tax and any fees not included in your costs. No retention or demand assumption is supplied.

Limits of these figures

Creators who sold at least once in the past year, not split by niche yet.

  • List prices on one day, not what customers actually paid.
  • Pound and dollar figures describe different creators; never convert one into the other.
  • Groups under 20 creators are left out, for example euro prices, coaching and community prices, and pound digital products.
