Abandoned checkout recovery
How much of the revenue after a reminder can actually be attributed to recovery?
A practical decision guide, with no verified findings or benchmark. Calculator values are assumptions, not observed creator results.
Define an eligible abandonment
Specify how long a checkout remains unpaid before a reminder and exclude purchases completed before sending. Deduplicate buyers with repeated starts or reminders. The reminder log records sends; it does not prove delivery, opening or a completed purchase.
Separate attribution and causality
A later payment within seven days can be labelled a post-reminder purchase under a stated matching rule. Coupon use alone does not prove incremental recovery. A credible uplift estimate needs an assigned holdout and an agreed outcome window.
Value the net outcome
Deduct refunds, discounts and delivery costs from attributed receipts. The calculator estimates gross receipts and a user-supplied contribution margin less reminder costs. Its inputs are assumptions; it cannot demonstrate that the reminder caused a sale.

Some abandonment is explained by shopper intent, so a later purchase must not automatically be credited to a reminder.
Limit: Baymard studied general ecommerce behaviour; it does not estimate the causal effect of WithMe reminders.

Post-reminder contribution scenario
Starting values are illustrative arithmetic examples. Enter your own assumptions in a single currency.
Calculation: Purchases × price × margin ÷ 100 − reminder costs.
Post-reminder purchases are not causal uplift. Include discounts and refunds when estimating margin.
The evidence this question needs
Proposed: eligible unique unpaid membership attempts, per-creator reminder cohorts, purchases in seven days and refunds observed for thirty days.
- No durable send-to-payment or randomised holdout key exists in the inspected tables; matching needs review.
- Recorded coupon use is not settlement evidence; verified paid/refund joins and delivery evidence are pending.
Proposed minimum: 20 independently reviewed businesses per cohort. Sample size does not approve business stage, independence, statistical precision or disclosure safety.
